Day Out with My Daughter
Good morning, loves. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend 😘
Mine was spent with my daughter (let's call her Willow from now on) and my best guy friend Griffin.
Willow is an excellent student. I can honestly say that's one of the best qualities that she did inherit from her mother.
I told her last week that if she studied hard and did well on her school quizzes that I'd reward her with a trip to an arcade that she likes. She responded with three perfect scores.
She also enjoys spending time with Griffin as well. So, we brought him with us.
First, we had some lunch at Applebee's. It's such an enjoyable time for me to enjoy food such as buffalo wings with football across multiple TVs (in this case, college football).
After that, we checked out the mall which houses the arcade. While Griffin went off to explore the various shops still housed in the half empty mall, Willow and I spent the better part of two and a half hours playing the various games in the arcade.
While they do host the usual arcade games, they do also have various carnival style games where we can win tickets to hopefully afford amazing prizes. Willow and I did an outstanding job with collecting tickets. I hit the jackpot on one game where you pushed a car and had to have it stick on a certain spot to collect the jackpot. Just my lucky day, I guess, as an additional 1,000 tickets were ours.
We also played one of those games where you launch coins with a bumper pushing them over a ledge. Depending on how many coins, cards or other items you successfully drop over the ledge determines how many extra tickets you get. We spent so much time on this one particular game that we won at least 3,000 additional tickets. After cashing out and allowing Willow to pick whichever prizes she desired, we headed down to check a few shops.
This included Hot Topic. Might seem cliche, but the emo/goth/grunge side of myself as Trixie really feels at home (fashion wise anyway) in this store.
We then traveled to a nearby Barnes and Noble. Griffin was kind enough to help me find some additional LGBTQ related books to purchase. I'll discuss them as I begin reading them.
Finally, we treated ourselves to an area ice cream parlor before heading for home.
We also spent the next day together at my house to watch football. To ease the frustrations of our favorite team not performing well, we played a board game with Willow. This was our Sunday regimen for a good seven hours before it was time to take Griffin home.
Griffin, away from Willow and my mother, had asked how Willow was handling me being Trixie. I told him how I don't dress up as Trixie around her.
I did mention though that if things were different, I could see myself possibly transitioning to being Trixie full time. However, not wanting to cause any possible issues with Willow, my family, my ex wife or my coworkers, I'm refraining from doing so for now.
He mentioned that, while being a little selfish in his regard, he's happy that I'm just going back and forth for now. He says he'd really miss my masculine side if I did transition.
I also asked Willow again if she was still okay with me being Trixie or being pansexual (I keep it simple by asking "are you okay with me dressing like a girl and liking both men and women"). She always responds quickly with a yes. I do keep the conversation open though and tell her to let me know if she ever has any issues or concerns with it or if she ever has any questions. Being the easy going and easily understanding person she is, she always goes "okay" with her sweet, little smile.
While I do feel more fulfilled as Trixie, I still do find enjoyment where I can as my masculine self. This is especially important to me for my daughter.
No matter what, whether masculine or feminine, the only name she cares about of mine is "Daddy."
